The hush-hush wedding of Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston had taken fans by surprise in 2015 but now the 45-year-old-actor has revealed that both of them wanted it to be secret and to be held in a peaceful environment in the presence of close family and friends.
In an interesting revelation, Justin Theroux has said that he and Jennifer Aniston wanted their wedding to be a secret affair. According to Entertainment Tonight, Theroux opened up about his marriage to the "Friends" star at the Las Vegas CinemaCon on Tuesday and said that marriage is so much more special when it is just close friends and family. He further disclosed that both of them wanted their marriage to be a peaceful environment.
For those who do not know, Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Los Angeles in August 2015. The degree of secrecy was such that the few celeb guests that made it to the event were told that they were attending a celebration for Theroux's birthday, US Weekly has learned.
Later, Justin Theroux admitted that maintaining secrecy was a task and it stole some of the fun from planning. However, he is all for it and this is why he praised his "LEGO NINJAGO Movie" co-star Dave Franco's marriage to actress Alison Brie that took place in a private ceremony. He said that it was good for Franco to make it private.
Justin Theroux was also candid about his role in the movie and said that he was playing warlord Garmadon and it was a nice experience to essay a negative character. He revealed that playing a baddie meant that he could wear whatever he wanted to work and used to show up wearing something black which is also what his character did.
It is worth mentioning here that Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston first met in 2007 and started dating in 2011. Next year, Theroux proposed and three years later they got married.
