Justin Bieber would have never thought that forgetting lyrics on stage would get him into trouble someday. Tuesday proved to be one such day as the Canadian singer forgot the lyrics of the popular Spanish song "Despacito" and his cover-up only made things worse as the Latin nationals did not like Bieber's casual way of handling the blooper.
Justin Bieber's act of forgetting "Despacito" lyrics and covering them up with casual disdain has led to a backlash from Latinos. According to People, the Canadian singer was performing at 1 OAK nightclub in New York on Tuesday and his performance was no less than a surprise for the attendees as the venue had turned into a mini concert of sorts but then the bomb dropped.
When "Despacito" music began playing, the crowds started cheering knowing little that Justin Bieber is going to disappoint them after few seconds. As it happened, the pop star forgot the lyrics of the song and to cover it up he used the words blah, blah during the chorus. He was also captured on camera mocking the lyrics with the words "Dorito" and "Burrito."
Later, when the video of Bieber ridiculing the song went viral on the internet, his Latin fans were left with a bad taste in their mouth. The disdainful act of Justin Bieber had angered many and fans vented out their displeasure on social media. Many thought of his act to be an insult to the Spanish culture. One Twitter user said that Justin Bieber not knowing the words to "Despacito" is unacceptable. Another said that his utterance of blah, blah was infuriating.
It is worth mentioning here that "Despacito" is a popular Spanish song sung by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee that topped the Billboard Hot 100 recently. Justin Bieber also featured in its remix version and it helped the song to move up on the popularity charts across the world.
