The NBA Summer League 2017 will have 24 teams competing in a tournament like game competing for the Champions' title in Las Vegas. The Summer League will also see the NBA Draft 2017's Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers competing in a game that is scheduled to take place on July 08.
The NBA Summer League 2017 is scheduled to start next month from July 07 and ends on July 17 when the Championship Game will be held. According to reports from NBA, the 11-day tournament style game format will have the NBA Draft 2017's first and second overall selections, that is, the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers.
The report states that the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers will be competing against each other on July 08. It was just a couple of days back that the matchup was announced along with the NBA Summer League 2017's broadcast schedule.
Moreover, the tournament style game format will have 24 NBA teams participating in the NBA Summer League 2017 and the teams will play a 67-game competition that will be held at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas. All the games will be presented by ESPN from Las Vegas and NBA TV will have 28 games aired for the fans.
It must be mentioned here that the teams will first play the preliminary games that will start from July 7 and end on July 11. And, these preliminary games will culminate into the tournament that will commence from July 12. Each of the 24 teams will be seen playing at least five games in Las Vegas.
Notably, last year, the NBA Summer League had Chicago Bulls winning the champion's title. Moreover, the event had also set a new record in terms of attendance, viewership across ESPN and NBA TV and also traffic on NBA's social media platforms.
