Prince William & Prince Harry To Attend Private Service At Princess Diana’s Grave On Her 56th Birthday

Prince William and Prince Harry will honor their late mother Princess Diana by attending a private service at her grave on her 56th birthday. Apart from them, reports also escalated that Kate Middleton will join them for the service to be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury on July 1, 2017.

Attended also by Princess Diana's family, this private service will be conducted prior to her 20th anniversary of her death in a Paris car crash last August 1997. The former Princess of Wales is buried on the grounds of Althorp estate which is located in their home near Northampton, England.

However, USA Today reported that the grave site was criticized before since it seemed like it was neglected. It started when Darren McGrady, Princess Diana's former chef took some photos of this and posted them on Twitter to bring the matter to her family also criticizing the lack of attention. Because of this, renovations have been made on Diana's grave site.

Apart from attending to the private service, Prince William and Prince Harry would also mark the death anniversary of their mother by commissioning a statue of Princess Diana which will be located in the public gardens of Kensington Palace in London. It can be recalled that William and Harr were 20 and 15 years old respectively when their mother died because of the fatal car crash.

According to Telegraph, Prince William and Prince Harry claimed it is just right to give their mother Princes Diana recognition for what she did in the U.K. and across the globe. This permanent statue would serve as a proof that their mother touched many lives. They also hoped that unveiling the statue will take place before 2017 ends.

Princess Diana was killed in a car crash when their car with her boyfriend and their driver in it crashed into a pillar in a traffic tunnel in Paris. This happened when their car was being tailed and chased by photographers and only their bodyguard survived the crash.

After the incident, the French and the British conducted their investigation and they found out that the driver was drunk and driving at a high speed. Moreover, the victims were not wearing seat belts too which led to the death of Princess Diana, mother to Prince William and Prince Harry.
