Golden State Warriors Plans To Get Free-Agent Guard Nick Young

Latest NBA new claimed that the Golden State Warriors was planning to get free-agent guard Nick Young of the Los Angeles Lakers. Apart from the Warriors, it was also reported that the New Orleans was also showing interest in him.

Nick Young last played with the Los Angeles Lakers in the past four seasons. After that, he became an unrestricted free agent. If ever he will sign with the Golden State Warriors, he will be expected to be a big contributor also to the team.

When Nick Young played with the Lakers, he became a bench contributor in his first three seasons. Likewise, he started 60 games in the past season and was able to contribute 13.2 points, 1.0 assists per game and 2.3 rebounds. Moreover, the free-agent guard was also able to shoot 40.4 percent from beyond the arc which was also considered as the second-best rate of his NBA career.

Because of his stellar performance too as a guard, Sports Illustrated claimed that he will be a perfect fit with the said teams most especially the Golden State Warriors. Some NBA teams already considered the Warriors as the most dangerous shooting team in the NBA at the moment. With the addition of Nick Young, he will provide a good spark off the bench and will be a big help to Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry.

Aside from The Golden State Warriors, the OKC and the New Orleans were also interested in Nick Young. It can be recalled that these two teams really struggled from shooting perspective the previous season and Young will also be a good fit for them.

Even if Nick Young was considered as a one-dimensional player, most teams now in NBA are banking on shooting to gain massive points like the Golden State Warriors. This is also the reason why Nick Young of the Los Angeles Lakers will be a good and valuable commodity on the NBA open market.

With the Golden State Warriors locking their championship core with their roster of players, it looks like the team is still looking to add more reinforcements and key players to their already All-Star laden roster. With this, one of the players the team as reportedly targeting was no other than former Lakers guard and swingman, Nick Young who is already a free agent.
