A Pennsylvania man wanted by authorities was quickly captured after sharing his mugshot that police posted on their Facebook page, the New York Daily News reported.
Anthony James Lescowitch Jr., 35, was finally arrested by police on Monday following two months on the run. He was wanted for the alleged assault on a man in July, in addition to other charges.
After Lescowitch saw his mugshot uploaded to the Freeland Police Facebook page, he shared the photo on his own account, accompanied by the caption "lol I f----- love it, A--HOLE."
Once police realized he shared it, an officer from the department posed as a woman online and began chatting with him, eventually finding out his address. The "woman" then asked Lescowtich to meet up with her, where he was greeted by police officers and arrested.
Hours after police detained him, they uploaded a second post to their Facebook account, this time with a second picture of Lescowitch with the caption "CAPTURED!!!!!! SHARES OUR STATUS ON FACEBOOK ABOUT HIMSELF, CAPTURED 45 MINUTES LATER."
He was booked in Luzerne County Correctional Facility with bail posted at $25,000. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 29 at 8:00 a.m. before District Judge William Feissner.
