Latest reports were saying that NASA just spotted a 75,000-mile wide hole in the sun and it has the possibility that this could black out the communication satellites of the Earth. This thing was just spotted the previous week and the international agency called it was AR2665.
With the appearance of the said hole in the sun, experts warned that this can cause a massive blackout on Earth and this will really affect some activities and essential transactions on the planet. The spot was so big enough that it can already be sufficient to produce and generate "M-class" solar flares.
Besides, since this 75, 000-mile hole in the sun can produce solar flares, this can also lead to the creation of stunning auroras which then results to total blackouts of the communication satellites. These solar flares could really be dangerous on Earth since this could also create radiation storms.
It was likewise reported on Mail Online that the 75,000-mile spot on the sun is the very first one to appear after the sun became spotless for two consecutive days. Even if the spot appeared like a freckle on the face of the sun, the experts claimed that its size is big enough to be seen from Earth. Though the spot appeared to be a small feature on the sun, the size is already relative enough.
NASA also added that the 75,000-mile wide hole on the sun contains a dark core which was considered as even larger than Earth. This spot was seen and detected the previous week but it created headlines throughout this week.
Talking of sunspot like this 75,000-mile wide hole on the sun, they are considered as darker and cooler areas on the areas of the sun. These sunspots are caused and produced by interactions with the magnetic field of the sun. Usually, these sunspots can be found in regions where there are intense magnetic activities. When energy is being released from that magnetic activity, the sunspots will produce and create huge storms and dangerous solar flares.
These huge storms can create stunning auroras which can be seen across the world but can also be dangerous since they will cause blackouts in some areas. NASA said that this 75,000-mile wide hole on the sun seems to be growing very quick.
