Donald Trump Jr. Adds Washington Lawyer To Legal Team Amid Issues On Russia’s Meddling With 2016 Elections

Donald Trump, Jr., the son of U.S. President Donald Trump just hired the service of a lawyer from Washington as an addition to his legal team. The said lawyer who reportedly has a congressional experience just confirmed this news last Sunday through an e-mail.

Donald Trump Jr. added Karina Lynch from the law firm Williams and Jensen but the said lawyer did not make any comments regarding her role in Trump Jr.'s legal team. Report escalated that he made this move after he also submitted himself for investigation if he will be needed in the controversial case with the Russia meddling of 2016 elections.

Apart from the Washington lawyer, CNN reported that Donald Trump Jr. also hired Alan Futerfas and some were claiming that he will help clear Trump Jr.'s name in the above-mentioned controversy. With this news, it looks like the president's son is equipping his legal team with the suitable lawyers in order to get through the said issue.

It can be recalled that Donald Trump Jr. is allegedly involved in Russia's meddling of the election last 2016. Reports claimed that someone, a lawyer offered him damaging information about his father, Donald Trump's opponent Hillary Clinton. But it was not stated if he received the information which others believed would be favorable to his father.

Apart from that, it was also claimed that Donald Trump Jr. had several and detailed meetings with a Russian lawyer. In fact, the president's son-in-law Jared Kushner and Donald Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manafort allegedly met with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya last June of 2016 before the election.

It was further reported that the said meeting took place in Trump Tower in New York and the lawyer promised to give information which might lessen the chance of Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in winning the presidential race. Now, several congressional panels and a federal special counsel are investigating the allegations and the possible connections between the Trump campaign and the Russian officials.

Even before Donald Trump Jr. hired new lawyers for his legal team, his father already denied that his campaign colluded with Russia. In turn, Russia also denied any interference in the concluded 2016 elections in the U.S.
