Star Wars Episode 7 News: Carrie Fisher Says Original Cast Will Begin Filming In March; Mark Hamill Says Return Isn't Confirmed?

Carrie Fisher might have spilled the news of the original trio's return to the big screen in "Star Wars Episode 7".

In an interview with TV Guide, Fisher said she, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford are expected on the "Star Wars" set come March or April.

''I'd like to wear my old [cinnamon buns] hairstyle again - but with white hair. I think that would be funny," Fisher told TV Guide.

However, Hamill revealed otherwise during a Reddit Q&A with fans on Jan. 22. Hamill claims the original cast members' returns are not official, but will let fans know when he has confirmation from the "Star Wars" camp.

"The only character I know for sure is returning is my friend R2-D2. He hasn't stopped beeping about it," Hamill told Redditors.

"I'm not being coy, really," Hamill later added during his Q&A. "When I find something out, I'll let everybody know. But nothing has been decided yet...I'm good at keeping secrets. Especially when the goal it to maximize the enjoyment of the audience. That's why I'm worried about episode 7, they're going after casting sheets!"

The good news is "Star Wars Episode 7" is ready to begin filming, according to J.J. Abrams. The "Star Wars" director stated during a Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour the script is officially completed.

"We're working really hard and we've got our script and we're in deep prep. Full steam ahead," Abrams told the crowd, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Abrams didn't dish on any details relating to casting for the film during the press tour, calling the rumors a lot of "noise," but did confirm fans will not be seeing the next "Star Wars" flick in IMAX theaters.

"The problem with IMAX is it's a very loud camera," Abrams said at the press conference. "It's a very unreliable camera. There's only so much film that can be in the camera. You can't really do intimate scenes with it. It's slow. They break down often. Having said that, they're working on digital versions of these, and so there may be a version one day that we would shoot on. But we're going to be shooting this next movie [Star Wars] on film."

"Star Wars Episode 7" is slated to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
