Queens Man Confesses To Stabbing Wife And Daughters After Finding Facebook Photo Of Wife With Another Man

A 28-year-old Queens man who was arrested on Monday for killing his wife and two young daughters confessed to the crime, law enforcement told the New York Post.

Miguel Mejias-Ramos, who was hunted down in Texas after the bodies were discovered, admitted that he stabbed his wife, 21-year-old Deisy Garcia, inside their Queens apartment. Mejias-Ramos then hugged and kissed and his two daughters, 3-year-old Daniela and 1-year-old Yoselin, before stabbing them too, the Post reported.

Police said that Miguel-Ramos became enraged when he came across a picture of his wife with another man on Facebook on Saturday, Jan. 18.

"After drinking beer at a friend's house he returned home on Saturday night at about 11 p.m., and went through the phone and Facebook account of his wife and saw a photo of her with another man- and he snapped," Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said in a statement obtained by the Post.

"He allegedly grabbed a knife from the butcher block, which was in the room, and stood over Deisy and his daughters," Brown said.

Deisy and her daughters were found dead in their two-bedroom Sutphin Boulevard home on Sunday. Rene Chuc, Garcia's 12-year-old cousin, walked into the apartment to find Deisy lying on the floor in her blood. Police later arrested Deisy's husband in Texas after he fled the state.

Deisy suffered multiple stab wounds to her head and torso, the Post reported. Mejias-Ramos told police that he used multiple knives.

"He said allegedly that Deisy woke up and screamed. He then allegedly stabbed her and she got out of the bed and ran to the front of the room and he grabbed another knife and stabbed her again and twisted it in her side and it broke," Brown said, the Post reported.

"He then allegedly went back to the girls and Daniela was awake so he picked her up, gave her a hug and kiss, asked for forgiveness, and put her back on the bed and stabbed her. He then allegedly picked up Yoselin and did the same to her," Brown said.

Meijas-Ramos made his confession to Queens detectives while being held in LaGrange Texas, the Post reported. He will be charged with six counts of first degree murder and three counts of second degree murder, according to the Post.
