Gal Gadot might have signed a three-movie deal with Warner Bros. for her role of Wonder Woman in the upcoming "Batman vs. Superman", but not all of the films will be related to the "Man of Steel" franchise.
Varity reports one of Gadot's three films will be a solo Wonder Woman film. Gadot will also earn $300,000 per film.
"The move make sense for Warners to overextend its since they still don't know how [audiences] will react to Wonder Woman in the untitled 'Superman-Batman' movie," Variety reports. "Since its taken so long to find the right parts to make a Wonder Woman movie work, WB and DC don't want to rush into a large commitment if fans are still not drawn to a stand alone feature of the character."
The untitled "Man of Steel 2" film is slated to hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
In other "Batman vs. Superman" news, since talks of a "Justice League" film have surfaced, so have rumors of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's connection to DC and Warner Bros.
Many are speculating Johnson might be cast as the Green Lantern or Lex Luthor, which may not be a stretch if you follow the DC comics and cartoons.
"The rumors actually make some sort of sense based upon the comics," The Inquisitr reports. "In the Green Lantern movie, Ryan Reynolds played the role of the Hal Jordan version of Green Lantern. So the Rock would be taking the role of the John Stewart version of Green Lantern. Although the skin tone of Stewart is typically fairly dark, Dwayne Johnson's nationality is African-Canadian and Samoan."
The Lex Luthor rumors stem from the "Justice League" animated series. In the cartoon, the DC villain is portrayed as a black male who resembles The Rock's build.
Though Johnson has confirmed a meeting with DC, any connection to "Man of Steel 2" or a "Justice League" film remains unconfirmed.
