George RR Martin may release the sixth book in his "A Song of Fire and Ice" series which is entitled "The Winds of Winter." After the controversial plot twist of "Game of Thrones" which had disappointed some avid fans, they are hoping that the latest book will fix the mistakes that HBO made in the ending of the famous TV series.
During the finale of GOT, one of the biggest revelations was the sudden change in Emilia Clarke's character "Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons."
Since the beginning of the series the Mother of Dragons was always protrayed as someone protective of the innocent, caring for slaves and offering them water and of course loving as a loving mother to her dragons.
However, in the series finale viewers were shocked after Daenerys decided to burn down King's Landing out of the blue, despite already winning the battle in her desperation to become Queen. Much to the dismay of Jon Snow played by Kit Harrington, who is Daenerys' lover and nephew, the Mother of Dragons wanted to bring chaos to the kingdoms and burn them down with fire.
Daenerys' desperation eventually became too much for Jon and when he realized that his lover would probably kill more people while searching for supposed peace in the Kingdom, he stabbed her in the heart, killing his declared queen.
Many fans became unhappy of this ending because they were either rooting for Daenerys to sit on the Iron Throne since the series began or they felt that there was nothing in the previous episodes that may have triggered the twist for her character.
The series however did not account for any change in Daenerys except for her feeling of isolation from others in Westeros. Unlike Jon Snow who was linked in to the Starks of Westeros after his adoption.
But there are some theories that the change in Daenerys can be tracked back to the previous books, hence would continue and be explained in the unreleased books which are "The Winds of Winter" and "A Dream of Spring."
So, the question still lies if the author George RR Martin would fix the wrongs in the series since he was a a consultant of the series creator in the first place. He was also reportedly giving the creators outlines for his next books to help them shape the series' story. Hence, assuming there is greater reason for Daenerys' sudden change which lies hidden in the books, we can presume that the next book would likely point to that direction and explain the Mother of Dragon's suddedn desperation for chaos.
As of the moment, theories will remain as theories since there is still no release date announced for the much awaited sixth part of "A Song of Fire and Ice" series, "The Winds of Winter."
