Anne Hathaway Returns To The Limelight With 'Song One', Explains Low Profile Post Oscars

Anne Hathaway said that she's been keeping a low public profile after her Oscars win last year because she thinks people "need a break" from her.

Anne Hathaway more or less disappeared from the public limelight post her Oscars win (Best Supporting Actress for Les Miserables). Barring a cameo role in Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Don Jon, she didn't appear in any movies last year and was a rare presence on the red carpet.

However, the actress is back now with "Song One." She plays the role of an anthropologist who has to return home to New York City after her musician brother is injured in a serious car accident.

"I think there's a common misconception about actors -- that we have a lot more control than we do about when things happen," Us Weekly quoted her as saying. "We met on this [movie] in 2011 -- I was working on Batman -- and then we developed this script and the music for two years, and we shot it in June. We had been planning on shooting in the fall and then Chris Nolan called with an offer for a part in his new movie..."

The movie premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and in a recent Huffington Post interview, the actress confirmed that she's returned from hibernation for good.

"My impression is that people needed a break from me," she quipped, reportedly with a laugh.

Hathaway has no regrets about maintaining a low profile over the last one year. This time off has given her an opportunity to spend some quality time with husband Adam Shulman. The two recently returned from a romantic vacation in Hawaii.

In an Entertainment Wise report, the actress candidly revealed she wanted to have kids soon. When asked whether she was ready to become a mother, she replied, "Yeah! I hope so! I am looking forward to it."

Rumors also have it that there might be a "Devil Wears Prada" sequel. Addressing this rumor she said, "I haven't read the book so I don't know what I'm saying. But if all the people came back I would love to be reunited with everyone...but that doesn't mean it's happening!"
