Lance Bass Says Justin Bieber Needs 'Chill Time To Snap Him Into Reality,' Bieber Buckled Under Pressure

Recently arrested Justine Bieber may seem like a bad boy who's not afraid to break the rules. But to others who personally know what it's like to live the 19-year-old singer's lifestyle, Bieber's wild antics are a cry for help.

"I feel for him because I know exactly what he is going through," former 'N Sync member Lance Bass told Entertainment News on Thursday.

Bass, who rose to fame along with his four other 'N Sync group members, said the pressure Bieber faces from being famous is harder because he does not have a support group.

"I've seen it with Britney, with Lindsay, with all the other teen stars out there. It was easier for me because I was in a group, I had four of my best friends knocking me down when I needed it and a great family," Bass told Entertainment News.

"But with solo artists, it's hard because you got a lot of yes people around you and there like, 'Yeah, that's great.' They'll never tell you no. When no one tells you no, your reality is out the door."

Justin Bieber was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving with an expired license Thursday morning in Miami, the New York Daily News reported.

The Canadian-born "Baby" singer admitted that he had been drinking beer, took antidepressants and had been smoking pot when cops arrested him while street racing. Bieber reportedly broke down in tears while in police custody, according to the Daily News.

According to model Carmen Ortega, who had a personal conversation with Bieber, he was stressed out.

"Justin says he feels under so much pressure," Ortega told the Daily News. She and Bieber had the conversation two days before his arrest at a Miami strip club.

"He said, 'I hate it that people make out I'm a bad guy, there's so much media pressure. I'm not a bad guy, I'm just being me.' " Ortega told the Daily News.

Bass, who hosts his own talk show on Sirius XM, said he predicted something like this would eventually happen to Bieber.

"I was not surprised at all," Bass told Entertainment News.

"We've been following the Biebs for quite a few months. The spiral down. So no, we called it a long time ago. Like I said, he just needs a little chill time to snap him into reality," Bass told Entertainment News.
