Authorities in Florida released the 911 call made during a shooting that occurred at a Tampa movie theater earlier this month, SeattlePi.com reported.
In the 11-minute, 27-second long call, a person tells the dispatcher they "need an ambulance, stat" as several others tried to perform CPR on the victim, Chad Oulson.
Oulson attended a screening of "Lone Survivor" with his wife, Nicole, when he got in a heated argument with Curtis Reeves, a 71-year-old former police officer.
According to authorities, Reeves became irritated when Oulson wouldn't stop texting. The men then began arguing and Oulson reportedly threw popcorn at Reeves, who then retaliated by fatally shooting him.
Reeves was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He is currently being held without bail.
Emergency dispatchers were notified that an off-duty nurse was present at the time of the shooting. He identified himself as a nurse on the call and requested an ambulance, citing Oulson's weak pulse.
"Come on, buddy, breathe. Breathe, buddy," the nurse is heard saying to Oulson.
Once authorities learned that the shooter was still in the theater, the dispatcher told the nurse that a deputy had to enter the theater before paramedics could.
However, the dispatcher was also told that an off-duty police officer was in the theater, who detained Reeves and took his gun until on-duty officers arrived.
According to the records released on Friday, the call was made at 1:29 p.m. It took a deputy four minutes to arrive and seven minutes for paramedics.
