New Zealand can clinch the series with a win on Saturday. The club won the first two ODIs of the series - the first by 24 runs and the second by 15 runs (D/L method). Kane Williamson earned the Man of the Match award in the second ODI in part for his 77-run performance.

On the bowling front, Tim Southee took four wickets and Corey Anderson took three.

India's batsmen were led by Virat Kohli, who scored a game-high 78 runs. Skipper MS Dhoni chipped in with 56 runs, and Mohammed Shami helped on the bowling front by taking three of the team's seven wickets.

Improving on offense is a must for India if they hope to keep the series alive.

"What some of the batters are going through is a phase where first when you come in and play a few games you just play your natural game and then all of a sudden you have a reputation to carry on and that puts a bit of pressure on them," Dhoni said of his struggling batsmen, via IB Times.

"With more and more games, they will realise what their particular game is, they will back themselves to play that game and slowly, they'll change themselves improve for better performance."
