Li Na plays Dominika Cibulkova on Saturday in the 2014 Australian Open final. The match starts at 3:30 a.m. ET. Watch the live stream or listen to the live radio broadcast via the links provided below.
Li, ranked No. 4 in the World, is on the cusp of her first Australian Open title. The 31-year-old veteran dropped only one set en route to her third Aussie Open final appearance. Li earned a spot in Saturday's match after easily defeating up-and-comer Eugenie Bouchard in the semifinals.
Part of Li's success this year can be attributed to her coach, Carlos Rodriguez, who helped her improve her game. Li made several changes in her game, including altering the grip on her serve and on her backhand, according to Sports Illustrated.
"You're on the tour so many years, everybody knows exactly how you play," she said, via Sports Illustrated. "Of course, if I didn't change, I can keep in the top 10, top 20, but I cannot be the best in the world. So I really want to push myself to change a little bit, to see. It's very tough to [think about it at] first because if you change maybe you lose the old thing.
"I still trust myself, trust Carlos. I believe after the change is a help for me."
Standing in Li's way of the Aussie Open title is Cibulkova, who's ranked No. 20 in the World. Like Li, Cibulkova dropped only one set on her way to the final. The 24-year-old's path to Saturday included upsets in the fourth round against No. 3 Maria Sharapova and in the semifinals against No. 5 Agnieszka Radwanska.
"I'm playing great," Cibulkova said, via Sports Illustrated. "I'm playing really, really well, giving 100 percent of what I'm capable to do on the court in the match. That's the most important thing."
Li won all four of her previous matches against Cibulkova. They last met in the quarterfinals of the 2013 Rogers Cup, where Li won in two sets.
