It is commonly implied that like love, sex can happen any time. But a latest survey suggests that couple mostly engage in sex when the clock strikes 7:37 every Saturday evening!
The UK-based survey showed that as many as 44 percent people chose Saturday as a favourable day in the week to get between the sheets. Second was Sunday and Friday was placed third on the most-favoured day for sex, reported the Express.
The weekend is favored by the couples more for convenience than anything else, reveal the researchers.
The survey also says that people find a conflict in desire and opportunity. It is always not convenient to match the two.
According to the poll results, those surveyed said they were generally aroused at 4:33pm on Saturdays. But, poor fellas have to hold off their feelings till at least another three hours.
A quarter of respondents said they were most aroused after waking up in the morning. Just 10 percent of those surveyed said they had morning sex.
Half the respondents said that they were so busy that they assigned a particular day and time in the week for ,sex; unlike the very few who were more spontaneous about their desires, reported the Daily Mail.
"Scheduling sex can seem like the least romantic activity in the world, but we have found that regular physical intimacy is the key to overall relationship happiness," said Richard Longhurst, co-founder of Lovehoney, who conducted the survey, according to the Huffington Post. "If the only way you have time for sex is to schedule it, then why not?"
"Sex o'clock will be different for lots of people, but all our research shows that couples who have great sex lives also have great relationships," he added.
