Rafael Nadal plays Stanislas Wawrinka on Sunday in the 2014 Australian Open final. The match begins at 3:30 a.m. ET. Watch the live stream or listen to the radio broadcast via the links provided below.
Nadal is one win away from hoisting the Aussie Open trophy for the second time in his career. The World's No. 1 player has carried his dominant performance from last year into Melbourne Park and has dropped just one set en route to the final.
After dispatching No. 6 Roger Federer in three sets in Friday's semifinal, Nadal meets No. 8 Wawrinka in the title match. Wawrinka's biggest moment so far in the tournament came in a five-set upset victory over No. 2 Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals.
"I have more confidence in myself," Wawrinka said, via Sports Illustrated. "I know that when I go on court, I can beat almost everybody, even in the big stage like in a Grand Slam semifinal now. So for sure, it's a lot about confidence, especially with my game that I'm playing quite fast from the baseline, trying to always be aggressive. So I take a lot of risks sometimes, so it's important to be really fresh and relaxed in my head."
Nadal agreed.
"He's playing better than ever," the Spaniard said. "It's not a question of winning one or two [sets]. ... He's a player that is ready to win against everybody today. If I don't play my best tennis, I am sure that he will win three sets against me."
History is on Nadal's side. In 12 matches, he's undefeated against Wawrinka and has never dropped a set to the Swiss. They met four times in the 2013 season, most recently in the robin round of the ATP World Tour Finals in London.
"I have played him so many times, lost so many times, but I'm going to try again," said Wawrinka. "I know what I have to do. I know that I have to play aggressive, serve really well, and try to always push him."
