The 2014 NFL Media Day for Super Bowl XLVIII kicks off on Tuesday. The Seattle Seahawks media session is scheduled from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. ET. Watch the free live stream via the link provided below.
For better or worse, the conversation on Media Day will inevitably turn to comments made by Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman after the NFC Championship game. Sherman's passion and competitiveness showed in his post-game interview with Erin Andrews, and it quickly overshadowed the Seahawk's win against the San Francisco 49ers.
Pushing aside Sherman's remarks about 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree, the Super Bowl presents one of the best matchups in a long time: one of the NFL's top defenses versus one of the NFL's top offenses.
Seattle's secondary is the best in the league, and they'll undergo their biggest test of the season trying to limit Denver's loading receiving corps.
Another topic of conversation is likely to be Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, who was voted the NFL's most liked coach.
"I'm surprised by that," Carroll said, via ESPN. "But, hey, free agency is a big deal to us. Maybe that can help us down the road."
Carroll doesn't take an antagonist approach with his players, and he doesn't like to dwell on what a player does wrong.
"We don't feel like we benefit from that," he said. "We want to tell them the best thing we can tell them as quickly as we can. It isn't necessary to scream at them or yell at them. There are other ways to do it.
"The principle of it is we want to tell them, as soon as possible, exactly what they need to do to get it right. It's more about the correction than whatever the result is."
