England hasn't been able to find ways to beat Australia during this current tour. After being whitewashed 5-0 in the Test series and then losing 4-1 in the ODI series, England hopes to save face and bounce back in the T20 format.
"Australia have had the better of us for three months and for the five guys who have been involved in all three squads it has been a really tough time for us," England skipper Stuart Broad said, via CrizBuzz.com. "We have an opportunity in a strong team to leave this tour with a little bit of happiness. That's what we want to do."
While Australia has the confidence of winning their last two series against England, skipper George Bailey doesn't want his squad to become complacent and emphasized to them the importance of starting off the series strong.
"I think all first games are important for series in terms of momentum and confidence," said Bailey. "It would be great to hit the ground running and you would like to think with the amount of T20 the guys have been playing there's no reason why we shouldn't get out there on Wednesday and play our best cricket."
