Kate Gosselin has more estranged relationships to deal with besides ex-husband Jon Gosselin.
In an interview with The Daily Mail, Kendra Wilber claims her sister Kate won't allow her family to see or communicate with the eight children.
"Kate does not speak to her family at all. It is very painful', she said. 'In the past the people who were close to her were the people who were making money from her and we thought that was very dangerous," Wilber told The Daily Mail. "The last time we saw and spoke with her it was in our church parking lot. That was years ago, I have lost track of time."
Wilber estimates Kate's family hasn't seen the children in six years. Wilber added she isn't sure why Kate still refuses to see them, but hopes the children will reach out to them when they are old enough to start asking questions about family matters.
"My sister-in-law Jodi and I get talking about the past and we don't understand what she's thinking. When the kids get old enough are they going to come and try to find us? I hope so," Wilder told The Daily Mail.
"What are we going to tell them? We'll have to tell them we tried to get hold of their mom, we tried to be part of their life, but we weren't allowed to be. We didn't leave her, she left us," Wilder added.
Kate recently faced Internet backlash for allowing her oldest twins, 13-year-olds Cara and Mady, to go on "TODAY" to tell the world they are growing up "just fine." However, the plan backfired when the girls refused to comment about their current family situation, making for one of the most uncomfortable on-air interviews of all time.
The girls' father was watching the interview, which he told In Touch Weekly was the final straw for him. He is reportedly seeking full custody of his sextuplets, claiming the children are afraid of their mother.
"They live in fear of Kate," Jon told the gossip magazine. "Every time I see them, they tell me they want to live with me." (Read more here)
