The civil war in Somalia has been going on for 11 years between the Somali government and a terrorist group called Al-Shabaab who is allies with ISIL (formerly ISIS). The Somali government has taken control of most parts of Somalia which is a very good indicator for a hopeful future.
The Federal Government of Somalia was formed in August, 2012 ruled by Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed. Somalia has been ruled by the Somali Democratic Republic that took control from 1969 till 1991. The Republic of Somaliland is another government that has control over the North West part of Somalia. The 2 current governments should unite for the greater good of Somalia. The biggest conflict of all is peace without conflict and I believe the Somali people are great enough to make that dream come true.
Somalia is probably the best African country when it comes to progress in ending civil war. Other African countries should take example in Somalia. I personally have high hopes for the future of Somalia. Al-Shabaab must stop their terrorism acts and be part of the Somali people again to contribute to the development of their own country. They should look at the results of insisting on civil war in other African countries and all over the world. If they continue with their irrational behavior, they will be left out as they are becoming the weakest link which cannot remain in formation but it is not too late yet.
My message to the Somali people:
"Your country is achieving great progress so you need to be part of it now. Be positive and spread positivity in your country. Clean your hearts from hatred and join the winning side of life. Your country needs you now more than ever".
