Rapper Clifford "T.I." Harris spoke to TMZ about rumors claiming he and his wife, Tameka "Tiny" Harris have separated. Rumors began circulating after the rapper was a no-show at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, Jan. 26.
According to FreddyO.com, T.I. and Tiny decided to separate shortly before the awards show and claimed that's why the hip-hop couple didn't attend the event. They were however spotted at Grammy after parties separately.
Tiny attended a after party thrown by Tamar Braxton while her husband and his friends partied somewhere else. FreddyO.com also reported that the "Dead and Gone" rapper hinted about the split on Instagram.
"Dis da 1st day of da rest of my life!!! IG in da last 24hrs my life has changed!!! No details necessary... Just try & accept da change," T.I. reportedly wrote. "Cuz it IS upon us. But if u CANT... Den it's #FUCKwhoever #imwitWHATEVA... From now on. And that's #OnDoeB #OnPhil it's #Hustlegangovererrrrrthang #god #children #ThatCheck IN THAT ORDER!!! What God got for me Can't NOBODY TAKE it away... it's mones!!!" ]
The post has since been deleted. It's not clear what T.I. was referring to in his Instagram post but he told TMZ that he and Tiny are doing fine and are not separated. The rapper did admit to getting into a huge argument with his wife before the awards show but said they made up the next morning.
T.I. said that Tiny wanted to walk the red carpet at the Grammys and watch the show but he wanted to skip the whole thing. He said they "angrily challenged each other on who would end up having more fun that night," TMZ wrote.
Tiny's best friend, Shekinah Anderson, also shut down the split rumors writing on Instagram "People stop with the BS @majorgirl and @troubleman31 are good!!! (They are still together) Don't believe everything you hear!!! Don't believe the hype!!!"
