Weather Channel Meteorologist, Jim Cantore, Knees College Video Bomber In Groin (VIDEO)

Weather Channel meteorologist Jim Cantore was interrupted by a video bomber while reporting on a winter storm in South Carolina on Tuesday, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Cantore was stationed at the College of Charleston when he was approached by a student, running towards him and yelling. As the student crashed into him, Cantore lifted his right knee and hit him the groin -- and kept reporting like nothing happened.

"Obviously, here at the College of Charleston, they're already having a good time," he said after the incident.

Cantore was recently in the headlines after he was invited and then disinvited to make an apperance on Dan Patrick's morning radio and television show due to ongoing issues between DirecTV and the Weather Channel.

In a report by the Los Angeles Times, the show originally asked Cantore to come on and discuss the forecast for Sunday's Super Bowl. However, DirecTV was not satisfied with that decision, especially after dropping the Weather Channel from it's network earlier this month.

DirecTV invited Paul Douglas of WeatherNation -- a show put in place of the Weather Channel on DirecTV -- to speak about the forecast instead.

"We like Jim and thought, under the circumstances, that it may be a bit awkward for him to appear on a DirecTV-owned show so we let him off the hook," a DirecTV spokesman said.

The Weather Channel did not comment on Cantore getting replaced on the show.
