Report Of Smoke In Cabin Causes Boston-Bound United Express Flight To Land In Delaware

A report of smoke in the cabin caused a United Express flight headed towards Boston to make an emergency landing in Delaware on Wednesday, Reuters reported.

"The Mesa Air flight, operating as United Express, landed safely in Delaware, and we are working to get our customers to their final destinations as quickly as possible," said airline spokesman Luke Punzenberger.

He added that there was "no indication" on a fire on the flight, which departed from Washington, D.C. and was carrying 58 passengers and four crew members.

According to CBS News, buses supplied by the Delaware Air National Guard transported the passengers and crew members to the airport terminal building.

No injuries were reported.
