Evelyn Lozada Pregnant: ‘Basketball Wives’ Star and Fiancé Carl Crawford Expecting a Baby Boy

"Basketball Wives" star Evelyn Lozada revealed that she is expecting a baby boy with fiancé Carl Crawford. The 37-year-old reality star is overjoyed by the news telling People magazine that she found out the sex of the baby in her first trimester.

"Surprisingly, I found out when I had my first trimester screening," she told the magazine. "I was about 13 weeks when they told me the sex! I was honestly praying for a boy. I have wanted to have a son for years."

Lozada, who is due in March, already has a 20-year-old daughter named Shaniece from a previous relationship. She told People that everyone is excited and happy about the baby news.

"We were both so happy. There are all girls on my side, so this will be our first boy. My family is over the moon," she said. "Every time I go to the doctor, I have them check to make sure it's a boy. I'm still in disbelief!"

"Shaniece is just as happy that she can still be the princess of the family," she jokingly added. "Her brother is already her BFF in her head."

The VH1 star is getting ready for her lavish baby shower on Saturday, Feb. 8 in Los Angeles. She told People that it will be a "diapers and diamonds" themed shower and her friend and fellow "Basketball Wives" costar Shaunie O'Neal will host it along with her daughter and close friends Teresa Caldwell and Danika Berry.

Guests for the baby shower have already received their invitations designed by Lehr & Black of Beverly Hills. The cute honeycomb-shaped invitation adorned with Swarovski crystals announces that the couple is expecting a baby boy.

As for the name, Lozada revealed that she and Crawford "have a few in mind but haven't decided yet." Lozada first announced she was pregnant in November. Shortly after the baby news, on Christmas Day she shared a Facebook photo of her surprise Christmas gift from Crawford: an engagement ring.

"I'm overjoyed and in complete and utter shock!" she told People last month. "What a difference a year and half it has been - I'm truly happy!"
