‘Remove Justin Bieber from Our Society,’ Americans Demand, White House to Review Petition

Problems do not seem to be ceasing for Justin Bieber. Over 100,000 people have signed a petition asking the White House to consider deporting him from the U.S.

The Canadian-born singer's bad behavior and legal troubles drew flak from the Americans. The petitioners wrote that Beiber was setting a bad example for the young.

"We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive and drug-abusing Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nation's youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society," read the petition started by one 'J.A.' in Detroit, January 23, reported the Agence France-Presse.

By Wednesday evening more than 106,000 people signed the petition. It takes at least 100,000 signatures for the Obama administration to review the petition within 30 days.

Jen Psaki, a State Department spokeswoman, said the petition website "doesn't always determine a step will be taken, it's more of another opportunity for the voices of the American people to be heard." However, cancellation of visa is under the State Department's jurisdiction. "We're getting down quite a rabbit hole here with Justin Bieber, but ... I will check and see what the visa implications would be for anybody who is found of possibly violating the law," she told ABC News.

Bieber is reportedly living and working in the U.S. under a renewable O-1 visa for entertainers, rather than a green card to become a permanent resident, according to the AFP.

Recently, the 19-eyar-old singer landed in some legal problems. Last week he was arrested for Driving Under Influence in Miami. He confessed to the cops he smoked pot the whole day, took anti-depressants and drank beer before driving, reported the Mirror. Police released him after he paid a fine of $2,500.

Back in Canada, Toronto police charged Bieber for allegedly assaulting a limo driver outside a nightclub a month back.

He also allegedly threw eggs at a neighbor's house. Los Angeles police is probing into the matter. The neighbor said that the 'Heartbreaker' singer caused damaged worth $20,000.

Bieber is also scheduled to appear in the court in Miami on Feb. 14 and might face charges of resisting arrest and using an expired driver's license.
