A somewhat food eating competition professional, Molly Schuyler downed 363 wings in 30 minutes and became the Wing Bowl 22 champion for 2014 on Friday, winning $22,000 in prize money, CBS News reported.
The mother from the the Midwest said she couldn't believe how crowded the Wells Fargo Center where the competition took place was on Friday at 7:30 in the morning, according to CBS News.
Others who have competed in previous Wing Bowls consists of bodybuilders and NFL players. Last year's winner is eating star Takeru Kobayashi who ate 337 wings, the record until today, CBS News reported.
Fellow competitor Pat Bertoletti can in second with 356 wings, and 2011's champ Jamie McDonald came in at third with 304 wings, CBS reported. At fourth place and holding the "local eater level" title was Jon Squibb with 252 wings.
Schuyler is 5-foot-7 and weighs 125 pounds and was able to devour 186 wings in the first 14 minutes of the competition, only three wings less than previous champion Kobayashi, CBS reported. In the last two minutes of the competition, Schuyler was able to scarf down 29 more wings.
"To tell you the truth, I didn't even think I was going to win this, I was looking and hoping to finish in the top three," Schuyler said, according to CBS.
Schuyler has plans to leave later on Friday night and head to Des Moines, Iowa to compete in the IHOP Pancake Bowl on Saturday. Saturday evening she will try to hold her title at the Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival, CBS reported.
Only one other woman hold a Wing Bowl title, and that's Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas, the 2004 winner who ate 167 wings, according to CBS.
"I think I could eat some more," Schuyler told cameras with a grin afterwards, CBS reported. "This was freaking crazy. I kept eating and I kept saying I didn't want to know how many wings I ate until the end. I just wanted to focus on what I was doing. But I don't think I want to eat another chicken wing for a while. Hopefully I'll be back next year."
