Flappy Bird is the new sensation for mobile gamers as it hits bulls-eye with game addicts.
Flappy Bird, a game for mobile users, has got gamers tapping on their screens. The free mobile game is addictive and went viral over the last week. Developed by Dong Nguyen of Vietnam from GEARS Studios, Flappy Birds is already ranked among top mobile apps, ahead of apps and games like Snapchat, Facebook Messenger, Clash of Clans and YouTube under Apple's top free list. The game comes with simple directions, tap to fly and avoid the pipes.
Flappy Birds brings a hint of classic Super Mario Bros with its 8-bit style of graphics. When a user taps the screen, the bird will fly a little, and tapping further will give the bird a hopping flight. Just tapping randomly will not get you through different levels, it is all about timing and preventing the bird from crashing in to the green pipes. The longer you fly the better ranking you get on the medal charts, which range from bronze to silver and gold to platinum (hardest).
Several gamers defined the game as "frustrating" for its challenging levels and hard play. At the same time the hard settings of the game are keeping people glued to their phones as it needs several attempts to even reach a score of 10!
Flappy Bird does not feature fancy graphics, yet it has become the new favorite. Games like Candy Crush Saga and Angry Birds have dominated the free mobile gaming zone in Google Play Store and Apple iOS. Flappy Bird also got a promising response, as tech reviewer Jenifer Whiteside said; it could eclipse Candy Crush Saga as the most popular game of 2014.
The popular bird game is available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store for free.
