For former reality TV star, Kristin Cavallari, family – and love – comes first.
In the April/May issue of Coco Eco, the 26-year-old star, who has also guest-starred on 'Veronica Mars' and 'CSI: NY' and also had a small part in the film 'Spring Breakdown' alongside Amy Poehler, confessed that she’s making sacrifices to ensure she stays close to her fiancé, with whom she has 8-month old son, Camden Jack.
“I’ve passed on a couple of things that would have kept me here in L.A. because my fiancé Jay has to be in Chicago, so if I was here, we would never see each other,” the star said in the Coco Eco’s April/May issue. “The sacrifices we make for love …”
Cavallari, who also made her name on the TV screens as Lauren Conrad's arch-nemesis on "Laguna Beach" and "The Hills,” said that she’s putting her career on hold.
However, concession doesn’t meaning relinquishment. Cavallari is busy working on a shoe line with Chinese Laundry, concurrently to a jewlry collection.
No regrets, the former star says.
“I enjoy being home,” she says. “It’s easy to get wrapped up in your career and have that be your only focus, and I want my marriage to work and last -- and family comes first.”
“The design work is great because I can do most of it from Chicago and I have so much fun with it. I love it and it all works out.”
Besides, soon the couple will be so seriously busy. Wedding bells are just around the corner. Cavallari and her fiancé, Chicago Bear quarterback, plan to wed this summer, although details of the event have been kept under an impenetrable veil of secrecy.
The couple got engaged in April 2011, just to undo the relationship three months later. They got back together in November 2011 and announced their second engagement.
In August 2012, the couple welcomed Camden.
