Last week's episode of Pretty Little Liars was a pretty big one for Spencer. She uncovered the truth fans have known since the end of the summer finale. Also, she's beginning to self-medicate.
According to EOnline, Spencer will have some issues with the information she's just uncovered (the fact Ezra is Board Shorts and likely A) - namely telling Aria her findings.
PLL Executive Producer Joseph Daugherty gave an analogy to help explain Spencer's recent troubles.
"Where Aria's danger has always been being possibly too romantic, Spencer's danger may be being too analytical," Dougherty told EOnline.
It's a good thing Spencer and Emily made up last episode. The young Miss Hastings doesn't need anything else to worry about.
According to the preview of tonight's episode, it seems Spencer won't keep to herself what she found out last episode. However, she's going to have to prove her suspicions about Ezra. (Hanna doesn't appear ready to believe Ezra is A.) Spencer's attempt to prove those suspicions most likely leads to a face-to-face with EzrA. You can watch the preview below.
On a lighter note, last week's episode saw the beginning of a possible friendship between Hanna and Det. Holbrook. He suggested a book to feed her new interest in mystery novels while apologizing for what happened to her mother. According to two sneak peeks, the two will get a bit chummy in tonight's episode. Detective Holbrook will return Hannah and her mother's belongings that were logged into evidence. (Apparently Hanna was dying to get her good shoes back.) Hanna also mentions to Holbrook that she is done with mystery novels for the time being. She offers her books to Holbrook but he's already busy investigating Cece Drake. He also says that when investigating a mystery it's important to pay attention to the small details.
In the second sneak peek Aria and Hanna are discussing what may be wrong with Spencer. Aria guesses it's just academics-related. However, Hanna says it could be something else - especially since "Gabe" (Det. Holbrook) said it's important to pay attention to details. You can watch here as Aria makes fun of Hanna for being on a first name basis with Holbrook.
