Bose is upping the ante on its SoundLink product line with its latest entry, the SoundLink Bluetooth speaker III, which has an impressive battery, new design and better sound.
Bose, one of the best sound system companies around the world, announced Thursday that a new member will be added to its SoundLink family for seamless wireless audio experience. The company's SoundLink lineup is a collection of powerful, portable, Bluetooth enabled sound systems. The newest entry, the SoundLink III, brings the company's signature best-in-class sound system in a redesigned outlook with improved battery.
According to the company's press release, the third generation SoundLink Bluetooth speaker is integrated with "four neodymium transducers and dual-opposing passive radiators combine with a new digital signal processing algorithm and improved electronics to play louder than its predecessor, while maintaining balanced and natural sound at higher listening levels."
The SoundLink III gets a new design, taking its cues from the company's SoundLink Mini speaker with curved edges and smartly placed silicone button panel to avoid dust and dirt formation. Unlike the previous models, the SoundLink III does not feature an integrated cover but the company offers optional accessory cover in different colors for a suggested price of $34.95. The speaker is wrapped with a metal grille to resist fingerprints.
Bose also says that the rechargeable lithium-ion battery in the speaker offers up to 14 hours of listening, up from the original SoundLink Mobile speaker (2011) and SoundLink II's 8 hours of battery life. It measures about 5 inches high, 10 inches wide, 2 inches deep and weighs 3 pounds, the company says.
The new SoundLink Bluetooth speaker III is available through Bose for $299.95 and adding an accessory cover will bring up the cost to $334.90. The company offers installment plans and ships the device within 1-2 business days.
