Kevin Quick Update: Three Suspects Charged In Disappearance Of Virginia Police Captain

Three suspects were arrested in connection to the disappearance of a Virginia police captain who went missing on Saturday, NBC 12 reported.

Halisi Uhuru, Leslie Hope Casterlow, and Anthony Darnell Stokes all face a charge of principal in the 2nd degree to commit the crime of murder of Waynesboro Police Captain Kevin Quick. Though they are accused of being involved in Quick's death, they are not accused of killing him.

According to the arrest warrants, the suspects are due in court on Feb. 10. They are joined by three others arrested in connection to Quick's disappearance -- Daniel Mathis, Shantai Shelton, and Mersadies Shelton.

Mersadies Shelton and Daniel Mathis were charged with possession of stolen property/grand larceny for the theft of Quick's Silver 1999 Toyota 4Runner.

Investigators recovered a wallet, box of cigarettes filled with a green leafy substance, and various other items from the SUV, the warrants state.

Mathis was also arrested on four felony warrants and three misdemeanor warrants in connection with a shooting Sunday in Mineral. According to authorities, Mathis drove Quick's SUV to a Louisa home on Sunday night where he tried to rob a family and shot a teenager.

Shantai Shelton was arrested on an unrelated warrant.

Authorities confirmed that a body was discovered on Thursday in a remote area. A gunshot wound was also found on the body. While some law enforcement officials have said it's Quick, the state police are waiting for official confirmation before announcing anything.

At 4 p.m. Friday, the Virginia State Police will hold a press conference in Waynesboro to speak further about the arrests.
