No. 3 Florida is on a 14-game winning streak after handing Missouri a 68-58 loss on Tuesday. The Gators (20-2) haven't been defeated since in the beginning of December and look poised to make a deep run in March.
Furthering Florida's chances in the NCAA tournament is guard Chris Walker, who made his season debut in Tuesday's win over Missouri. The highly-touted freshman missed 12 games because of poor academics and the NCAA ruling he received "preferential treatment," according to ESPN.
"I'm just so glad to have it behind me," Walker said, via ESPN. "My coaches and teammates have been behind me. ... All I want to do is play my role and do anything I can do to help the team win."
Senior forward Casey Prather leads the Gators in scoring with 15.7 points per game, and sophomore forward Dorian Finney-Smith has a team-high 7.8 rebounds per game while averaging 10.0 points per contest.
Alabama (9-13) is the heavy underdog heading into Saturday's game. The unranked Crimson Tide are on a three-game losing streak after a loss on Wednesday to Arkansas. Senior guard Trevor Releford leads Alabama in scoring with 18.0 points per contest, but the team has struggled in the rebounding department - junior guard Rodney Cooper has a team-high 4.8 rebounds per game.
