German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that de-escalation by all parties aims to lessen tension at the Ukraine border, causing war is the last thing anyone wants.

The Chancellor labeled the hysteria caused by the West as non-beneficial to solve the Moscow-Kyiv row. Russian forces have pulled back, and no invasion happened as opposed to the declarations of the white House.

Germany's Diplomatic Attempts

Despite the hysteria caused by US President Joe Biden, both Ukraine and NATO members are trying to defuse the situation, reported the Express UK.

Recent exchanges between Russian President Vladimir Putin to Kyiv and NATO members are chasing an opportunity to appease the Kremlin. Recently the Chancellor talked with the Russian leader last Tuesday to find common ground for possible recall of Russian troops, cited NPR.

He called on Ukraine not to continue its bid to be part of NATO to avoid Russian aggression. This declaration shows that Berlin does not want to follow the lead of Brussels, just like France.

Done with the meeting in the Kremlin, Mr. Scholz advised that to fight in a conflict to contest Kyiv's membership in NATO is crazy. Saying there are other solutions available to resolve the issue, noted Ajansev.

He remarked to German media that NATO membership has never been part of the agenda.

Better Leadership To Steer Decisions

German Chancellor Scholz mentioned that everyone involved, like Russia, Ukraine, and NATO members, need to de-escalate the Ukraine border. It is more important to be unified in this crisis.

It means that the West will compromise to avoid any occurrence of war with Russia, before this change of heart, the demand for an open-door policy to Russia was rejected. But Kyiv still wants to join NATO.

De-escalation Is the Solution

Last Tuesday, a representative for the Defense Ministry of Russia made a statement regarding Russian forces.

The southern and Western military districts units had done their task satisfactorily; they are now getting loaded on their rail and road transports. Since all commands have been completed, the units concerned will move to their respective bases.

It means for NATO and the US that there might be an end to the standoff that has been on for several months. Making the border one of the hottest to be in, after the announcement of an attack in which Putin laughs.

Russian sources said that on February 15, 2022, the West was wrong about its assumptions; they were humiliated and shamed by Russia without armaments.

No invasion came when the hysteria-driven Washington claimed there would be. Scholz made it clear that war is out of the picture in a press conference, and Putin said diplomacy is needed for their concerns.

The German Chancellor stressed that de-escalation is the solution to the Ukraine border, but Washington is keen on stoking Kyiv's fears baselessly.
