Hillary Clinton, the former first lady, senator, secretary of state, and two-time Democratic presidential candidate, finally answered to special counsel John Durham's court filing last week claiming that her 2016 campaign paid for computer research to link then-candidate Donald Trump to Russia.
On Wednesday, former President Donald Trump and Fox News were accused of "despearately constructing a false crisis to divert from his real ones" by Hillary Clinton.
Hillary Clinton Reacts to Durham Filing
Clinton's reaction comes as Fox News and conservatives accuse Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign of infiltrating and spying on Trump during his campaign and presidency. One day, she broke her silence after ignoring queries from The Post about Durham's charges while eating at a Queens restaurant with her daughter, Chelsea.
Durham said in court documents filed Friday that a Clinton campaign lawyer recruited the services of a tech executive to "mine" internet data from places like Trump Tower and the White House "to construct 'an inference' and 'story' associating then-candidate Trump to Russia."
The documents disclosed by Durham, who was designated special counsel by then-Attorney General William Barr in May 2019, have sparked a firestorm of criticism against the Clinton campaign and prompted calls for an investigation of the FBI's conduct of the "Crossfire Hurricane" Russia inquiry.
Trump, who termed the allegations "worse than Watergate," demanded that the Justice Department declassify and reveal all remaining papers relating to the allegations that his campaign collaborated with Russia on Tuesday, as per New York Post.
Durham claimed that tech entrepreneur Rodney Joffe used nonpublic government domain name system (DNS) data to look into supposed links between the Trump Organization and a Russian bank in a court filing last week. Durham was appointed as special counsel by former Attorney General William Barr to investigate the FBI's probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
The filing was made as part of prosecution against Michael Sussmann, a former Joffe lawyer who worked on Clinton's 2016 campaign. Durham claims Sussmann lied to the FBI in 2016 when he said he wasn't representing a client when providing a possible established relationship between Trump's business and Alfa Bank in Moscow.
Sussmann allegedly obtained the essential information from Joffe, according to Durham's petition. Trump reacted promptly to the filing, claiming that the lack of media coverage demonstrated "how completely crooked and disgusting the media is."
However, Durham had not alleged that the White House had been penetrated or that the Clinton campaign had paid Joffe, and Sussmann's contact with federal officials had previously been revealed last year. The court petition also failed to mention that the White House material under investigation originated with the Trump administration, according to The Hill.

Giuliani Says He Has Proof Against Hillary Clinton Spying on Trump
Just when you thought Rudy Giuliani's links to former President Donald Trump couldn't get any worse, the former presidential lawyer claimed to have "1,000 papers" connected to the Russia collusion investigation stored in his boudoir.
Giuliani made the strange claim during an interview regarding the newest disclosures from the Trump-appointed special prosecutor examining the FBI's beginning of an investigation into links between the 2016 Trump presidential campaign and Russia.
Most Americans can't make heads or tails of the vague notion that Clinton's campaign may have been indirectly engaged in increasing the authorities' concerns about Trump, according to a former member of Trump's famed "elite legal strike squad."
Even though the investigation led by federal prosecutor John Durham has stretched on for over three years with few findings, right-wing media is suddenly alive with speculation about what shoes could drop next. It's difficult to see what could be scandalous about the decision to initiate an investigation into Trump's campaign, as Giuliani admitted, New York Daily News via MSN reported.
