The host of Reliable Sources, Brian Stelter, reported a significant shake of CNN network would have legal blowbacks coming soon.

CNN Controversy

The president of CNN, Jeff Zucker, had to resign due to an improper relationship with a former marketing chief, Allison Gollust. Fox News reported this incident about what happened in CNN, its rival network.

Stelter stated that according to a source that verified Zucker would not comment anymore about the reasons that prompted his decision to leave, reported the Blaze.

Suppose the mess with Zucker could turn out really bad, Reliable Sources host. He added that everyone in the network is ready with their lawyers; even the lawyer of Cuomo wants to make a lot of money from CNN.

Earlier this February, Jeff Zucker surprised everyone at CNN about his resignation from his current position. He is the president of the network and WarnerMedia's chairman for the news and sports division.

A memo was circulated by the CNN executive stating the reason for choosing to leave the network was an improper relationship with Allison Gollust. Both have resigned after the CNN executive gave the memo.

Recently, the network has allegedly been wracked by another controversy that involved the younger brother of shamed ex-NY Governor Andrew Cuomo. Brian Stelter remarked that the CNN network is affected by it.

The news outlet investigated the fired former-CNN anchor, Chris Cuomo, and dug up a myriad of activities from acting unethically using the network's resources. Another is he's been harassing co-workers due to his influence.

All these activities brought the Zucker and Gollust controversy to the fore, and all these have been happening as CNN bleeds its viewership.

Top Level Resignations at CNN

On the circulated memo that said his association with his co-workers was brought to light as part of the Cuomo investigation of activities. The CNN executive admitted after 20 years together, they had a relationship.

He was asked to acknowledge it but did not do so, apologized for it. The following resignation was in effect on the day of the circular.

Soon after, Gollust dropped her silence on the alleged relationship with Zucker, saying they have been working as close friends and colleagues for twenty years, which changed during the pandemic.

She regretted it was not appropriately reported and spoke about working for the network, so she resigned after her co-worker did. Both were allegedly involved in helping Andrew Cuomo in the sexual harassment charges, cited DNYUZ.

Legal Problems at CNN

The parent company of CNN 'WarnerMedia' forwarded a statement that mentioned the interviews of more than 40 persons, and an examination of 100,000 emails and texts exposed many company policies broken.

The company probe revealed the most glaring news standards that weren't adhered to by Chris Cuomo, Jeff Zucker, and Allison Gollust.

According to the report on the investigations involving Cuomo, he used the outlet's resources to investigate the woman accusing his brother of sexual harassment. Things piled up on the CNN anchor when he harassed co-workers, which led to him getting booted last December.

Brian Stelter said the CNN network is significantly affected by the top-level resignations, and WarnerMedia will need to clean house and correct all that had happened under Zucker's watch.
