Following her release from conservatorship last year, Britney Spears has signed a deal to write a memoir.
The "Gimme More" singer, 41, has inked a multimillion-dollar publishing deal with Simon & Schuster for her book. On Monday, February 21, Page Six originally reported the news, suggesting a $15 million payoff for the Crossroads star.
After eventually speaking out about the issue in June during a shocking courtroom hearing, Spears' conservatorship kept her in the public glare for the rest of 2021. The pop diva stated at the time that she did not want to be placed under formal adult supervision, with her father, Jamie Spears, making all of her financial choices.

Britney's conservatorship terminated in November after a change of legal teams and multiple hearings. The Mississippi-born entertainer was free to express herself on social media since she didn't have a conservator in control of her person or estate.
Jamie Spears, Spears' father, had been living under a court-ordered conservatorship since 2007. The conservatorship remained in place even though the singer continued to perform, touring and enjoying a residency in Las Vegas. The "#FreeBritney" movement began after rumors surfaced among fans that the pop singer was being put in conservatorship against her will.
Spears told a judge in the summer of 2021 that her conservators pushed her to work despite her pleas for a vacation from touring. Spears later gave her first public testimony on her conservatorship.
Spears' situation has piqued international interest in the last year, igniting a debate about conservatorships and the possibility for abuse. The pop star's court fight is now ongoing, with both parties battling over funds, according to Variety.
