Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W. Va.) will not support another push for BBB programs that have been rejected, but the Democrats do not consider it denied.

In the State of the Union address of President Joe Biden, his fixation on the faulty Build Back Better resurface with its add-ons that will cost Americans more.

Sen. Manchin has voice opposition to it, but the senate democrats are dogging him to support it. They don't get the hint.

Build Back Better Bill Still Faces Opposition

The Build Back Better inclusions like paid childcare, paid family leaves, and in-home healthcare is highly problematic and expensive. The opposition says hidden aspects are not expressed but shrouded in Democrat double talk.

Manchin has said something not correct, and changes are in order, but his party mates are adamant about making it pass, The Epoch Times reported. He has been hailed by many and even the Republicans for his decision that would have staggered the economy more.

President Biden has failed and faced backlash from his party for the Build Back Better bill as a wrong direction.

After rounds of talks with the White House and other Democrats, Manchin confirmed in December 2021 that he would not endorse the $1.85 trillion BBB draft, citing concerns over rising inflation. The news dealt a mortal blow to the bill in the equally divided Senate, where all 50 Republicans opposed the package.

Nonetheless, certain Democrats have been working diligently to revive the bill's essential spending programs. Sen. Manchin, frustrated by the bill's unwavering support, spoke to reporters last Feb. 1 that Build Back Better would not pass.

Manchin did not commit to supporting a smaller bill, but he has indicated that he is open to a lower, better-focused bill since dismissing the $1.85 trillion package.

Manchin Might Support Smaller Bill

After Biden's State of the Union address, Manchin told party mates that changes like a more realistically economic bill for the tax code and increased federal revenue are needed. Excess revenue should be for the particulars like child care and family-related concerns, and what is left is for prescription drug reform and fighting inflation, per YouGov.

The proposal by Manchin is what he can reconcile, but if the left-leaning members of the party want more, forget it, noted the Hill.

Other senators like Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) said that childcare is a financial concern if he wants to emphasize an economic package. She is progressive and wants the government to pay for child care because some households cannot afford it. There is not enough income in this sector, she added.

Adding that everything has to be done to enable people to work, although it is contradictory when stipend is given, which prompts fewer people to work. Warren said without backing up with data, the proposal needs spending to lessen inflation. The shortage of workers is the cause of the high prices as well.

Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) also concurred and agreed with Sen. Warren that the build back better will lessen higher prices, but it has been disproven.

The Republicans argue that child care and parts of the bill could be used for unnecessary further spending as Biden's economic policy has made it harder for American's expenses.

This November, the Democrats might be facing oblivion over programs like Build Back Better if the Republicans take control of the House.
