John Bolton, the National Security Adviser of former President Donald Trump, said that President Joe Biden does not threaten Russian President Vladimir Putin due to the Afghan debacle.

The Russian leader called the sanction war and defied the US and NATO, who have not raised a finger to help the Ukrainians. Over the weekend, Russia said that civilians were used as human shields by the Ukraine military.

Biden's Threats Disregarded

President Putin has just cast the American president with tough sanctions due to losing Afghanistan and calls sanctions as provocations of war, Bolton said on Newsmax TV last Saturday. He added that the US president carries no weight in the eyes of US adversaries like the Kremlin.

Moreso, the White House has catastrophically allowed the events to overtake the western alliance, resulting in another country's loss, reported Newsmax. Bolton added that there is an inability to establish deterrence, and, unfortunately, what we're seeing now is what happens when deterrents fail.

Many individuals suggested that Putin needed to feel the sanctions in real-time for his assessment to be influenced well before the incursion; however, this was not accomplished.

The Russian leader saw Biden showing weakness when there were no sanctions when Crimea was annexed, like when he went into Donbas and Lugansk in 2014 without penalties. No penalties were also heard about the Kremlin when Russia invaded Georgia in 2008.

Bolton added that the 'icing on the cake' for Putin to decide on definitive action is the terrible result of the president's handling of Afghanistan like a modern-day Saigon.

Sanctions Signals War

Bolton added that it was interesting that Putin called the sanction an invitation to war. Furthermore, the Kremlin Is adamant that a no-fly zone over Ukraine is a cause to act offensively, noted Al Jazeera.

Meanwhile, says Bolton, the president will not push for Ukraine's admission in NATO, and the Europeans would not approve it. He added that ex-president George W. Bush suggested that Ukraine and Georgia should be accelerated to NATO membership, which was correct.

But it hit a snag when the government of France and Germany were not okay with the proposal of Bush, and we are paying for that now. Although countries like Sweden and Finland are showing support, which is advantageous.

In a teleconference with US senators on Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy insisted on a no-fly zone to safeguard innocent people; however, the Biden administration and NATO have opposed this. He added everyone is not ready to oppose Russia. Nothing is working, and Putin is the one deterring NATO, which is the reverse, and Kyiv will not be able to get out in one piece.

Bolton said Ukraine would be ground until no resistance, and the country would be divided, get the side for Russia, and the others will be left to their own devices.

The world order is shifting fast, and China is the big element in the picture, which will be a significant threat in the future. Bolton states everything is changing, and the US leadership is challenged with the subsequent steps, but Putin is not expressing any thoughts about the US or Biden.
