Following Prince Charles' ascension to the throne, Prince William and Kate Middleton will be given a new title.

Prince Charles' eldest son will almost certainly inherit the title of Prince of Wales, according to royal admirers. Princess Diana's title of Princess of Wales will be passed down to Middleton.

Phil Dampier, a royal pundit, spoke with New Idea about Prince William and Kate Middleton's potential royal titles. He stated that courtiers will not discuss the royal couple's new titles at this time, but that the official announcement will most likely be made when the queen passes away.

The Prince and Princess of Wales titles, according to the royal analyst, will be quite suited for Prince William and Kate Middleton. They both adore Wales, and they shared their first house on Anglesey when the Duke of Cambridge was still a rescue pilot years ago, Epic Stream reported.

Transition Between Prince Charles and Prince William as King Is Quick, Expert Predicts

As Her Majesty celebrates this significant occasion, concerns have been raised concerning her succession after Prince Charles succeeds her as monarch. During their visit to the town, William and Kate also planted a tree to commemorate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in 2022, as part of the Queen's Green Canopy program.

Now, a constitutional expert claims that when Prince William's father becomes King, there will be a "very quick" shift. With Express.co.uk, Robert Morris of University College London's Constitution Unit examined the Queen's succession. When asked if when Charles succeeds to the throne, William would simply take over as Prince of Wales, he answered: "Yes, but that's not automatic."

The Prince of Wales' primary responsibility as heir to the throne is to assist the queen. He is also a key figurehead for the UK's military forces and international relations, both overseas and at state dinners for foreign dignitaries.

With a succession of royal visits under his belt, Prince William has demonstrated his suitability to succeed as Prince of Wales. His highly difficult journey to Israel and the Palestinian Territories in 2018 was one of the Duke's most symbolic travels. As well as the obligations William would acquire under his future post, there are also financial consequences to consider, as per Express.

What Happens To Prince William After Queen Elizabeth II Dies?

Prince William may expect to become Prince of Wales when Prince Charles becomes King, following in the traditions of his father and his forebears. The title is customarily awarded to the heir apparent of the British crown. This, however, is not assured. This is because the title is not heritable and is bestowed by the king. Nonetheless, as the monarch's eldest son when Prince Charles is King, Prince William will be given additional titles.

The Duke of Rothesay and the Duke of Cornwall, for example, have honorary titles in this regard. Prince William's existing title of Duke of Cambridge will be merged with the Crown if he becomes King. Princess of Wales is the title given to the Prince of Wales's wife. Camilla, on the other hand, goes by the title of Duchess of Cornwall (and Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland) because the title is so closely identified with Princess Diana.

As the heir apparent's wife, the princess has always retained the title of Princess of Wales. As a result, it is expected that the holder will become Queen Consort. Because Prince William's future title has not been revealed, there has been no indication whether Kate Middleton would be known as Princess of Wales. This is quite unlikely to happen while the Queen is still alive and reigning, according to Entertainment Daily.
