Now, these three Spaniards say they're "afraid" of being shut down by the German confectionery king, which is famed for its vast array of jelly sweets and was founded 100 years ago in the western city of Bonn. The top on almost 4 million bottles of Airborne Gummies distributed across the country is being recalled because it may fly off and hurt individuals when first opened.

According to a notification from the manufacturer, Reckitt, released on Wednesday by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recall affects around 3.7 million units of the fruit-flavored supplements sold in bottles. Inside the bottles, pressure can build up, causing the seal to break off with a lot of power.

Which Airborne Gummies Are Recalled?

Reckitt has received 70 reports of the cap or seal on the bottles popping off, with 18 instances of minor injuries and one case of an eye injury requiring medical treatment, according to CPSC.

The bottles should not be opened; instead, they should be returned for a refund. The product recall does not apply to bottles that have already been opened because any pressure buildup has been released, and they no longer represent a threat.

From May 2020 to February 2022, stores such as Amazon, BJ's Wholesale Club, Costco, CVS, Kroger, Sam's Club, Walmart, and www.schiffvitamins.com offered the items between $18 and $33, CBS News reported.

Consumers who have an unopened bottle should not attempt to open it; instead, they should call Reckitt to return it for a full refund. A pre-paid shipping label will be given. Bottles that have already been opened are not included in this recall since any pressure buildup would have been released, and there would be no risk of damage.

The recall gummies in blueberry pomegranate, orange, and various fruit tastes are available in 63- and 75-count bottles and are marketed as immune system boosters. To see a list of recalled items organized by UPC and lot codes, as well as expiration dates, you may check here.

FDA Recalls 3 COVID-19 Tests

Meanwhile, the manufacturer of one brand of COVID-19 tests has announced a recall because the tests have not been certified, cleared, or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Three test types have been recalled by LuSys Laboratories: a saliva antigen test, a nasal antigen test, and an IgG/IgM antibody test.

These tests were the subject of a recent FDA safety alert, in which the government advised individuals to cease using LuSys Laboratories' tests because there was a significant risk of misleading findings. According to the FDA, the business failed to submit adequate validation data to demonstrate that the tests are accurate, posing a risk of possible false negatives, false positives, and misinterpretation of test findings.

These tests were supplied for use in laboratories and at-home testing. According to the FDA, the tests were issued between June 2020 and July 21, 2021. The FDA advises that you stop using the tests immediately if you have them at home or in your lab. The FDA also recommends that all tests made or supplied by LuSys Laboratories, Inc., a.k.a. Luscient Diagnostics LLC, be discarded, destroyed, or returned.

According to Fox29, If you require COVID-19 testing at home, the government is currently accepting orders for the second wave of four tests per household. The FDA has approved COVID-19 at-home over-the-counter diagnostic tests, which may be found here.
