Billie Eilish's Changes Garner Attentions as Singer Becomes First Oscar Winner Born in the 21st
For 'No Time to Die,' Billie Eilish and her musician brother Finneas Baird O'Connell received the Academy Award for Best Original Song. But fans are more stunned during the red carpet! Mike Coppola

Billie Eilish made a splash on the red carpet at the 94th Academy Awards on Sunday, which was hosted at the historic Dolby Theater in Hollywood.

As she smiled to photographers, the singer, 20, wore a massive black ruffled off-the-shoulder gown with a long train trailing behind her.

Billie Eilish Changes Approach About Publicizing

Billie Eilish is frequently recognized in public; in 2020, she stated that she avoided going out because of COVID-19 and safety concerns. Eilish verified in 2021 that she had changed her mind about going out and that she now occasionally goes out in public to get food or coffee.

Eilish develops and releases original songs alongside her brother, Finneas, as one of pop music's emerging talents. Eilish has been producing original music for several years, starting with 'Ocean Eyes' on SoundCloud.

'When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?' was her first full-length album, released in 2019. In 2021, she returned with 'Happier Than Ever,' which featured the number-one single 'Happier Than Ever.' Eilish, as seen by her many hair colors and styles, lived in numerous distinct eras.

Eilish has participated in a Vanity Fair interview for the past five years, answering the same questions and reacting to her previous segments. Eilish, who was born in the year 2020, said in the interview that she seldom goes out in public.

She managed to escape being recognized in part because of the COVID-19. Billie Eilish joked in 2021 that she was "going through an identity crisis," claiming that it was seen in her eyes and low bun, according to the Cheat Sheet.

Billie Eilish Makes History at the Oscar Awards

Billie Eilish has made history by being the first individual born in the twenty-first century to receive an Academy Award for 'No Time to Die,' which she won for Best Original Song. However, she is not the youngest-ever songwriting winner at the age of 20.

At the February 2008 event, Czech-Icelandic singer-songwriter Markéta Irglová, who co-wrote 'Falling Slowly' with Glen Hansard for the film 'Once,' was four days away from turning 20. If 'No Time To Die' had been released in 2020 as planned and Eilish had been nominated and won, she would have been 19 years and two months old if the Oscars had been held in February 2021 as intended.

Even if she had been a few months younger than Irglová at the bare-bones ceremony in April, she would still have been a few months younger. Eilish and her 24-year-old brother Finneas have also made history as the first American composer to win an Academy Award for writing an original James Bond song.

Adele and Sam Smith, the previous winners, are both British and, coincidentally, were both 24 when they won for 'Skyfall' in 2012 and 'The Writing's on the Wall' from 'Specter' in 2016. 'The Look of Love,' by Burt Bacharach and Hal David from 'Casino Royale,' 'Nobody Does It Better,' by Marvin Hamlisch and Carole Bayer Sager from 'The Spy Who Loved Me,' the title tune 'For Your Eyes Only,' by Bill Conti, and Mick Leeson from 'The Spy Who Loved Me' are among the American-penned Bond songs that were previously nominated.

Since the renowned collaboration of Robert B. Sherman and Richard M. Sherman won for 'Chim Chim Cher-ee from 'Mary Poppins' in 1965, Eilish and O'Connell became the only sibling songwriting duo to win Best Original Song. For more than a year, 'No Time to Die' has been winning prizes, including a Grammy in March 2021 and a Golden Globe in January, The Wrap reported.
