The latest images captured by the Maxar Technologies satellite reveal the massive destruction suffered by the central Mariupol in Ukraine.

Satellite photos, the first visual update from non-Russian propaganda, show destroyed entire city blocks. It confirms NASA's earlier report that dozens of explosions happened in the surrounded Ukrainian city as seen from outer space.

The region east of the drama theater blasted by Russian forces, where 300 people were reportedly killed, is in ruins, as images show, CNN reported.

The roofs are either missing or severely damaged on practically every building captured in the Ukraine satellite images. Including one residential neighborhood in eastern Mariupol. Every house in the vicinity of two separate apartment complexes has been demolished.

Survivors of the devastation brought by the Russia Ukraine war can also be seen in pictures. Some images show hundreds of people are gathered in lines outside the Metro store in western Mariupol, ready to enter the facility with a damaged roof.

Russian Forces Continues Shelling Ukrainian Cities Despite Pledge To Scale Back Attacks

Russian forces bombarded areas surrounding Kyiv and another Ukraine city, as local officials reported on Wednesday. The attacks occurred hours after Russia pledged to decrease military strikes in the region. However, Moscow did not specify how it would scale back its attacks.

Russia's announcement may sound positive. However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed skepticism about Russia's commitment, saying in his video address that Moscow's "signals don't silence the explosions of Russian shells."

According to Regional Governor Viacheslav Chaus, the "so-called reduction of activity" in the Chernihiv region of Ukraine was conducted by Russian attacks on Nizhyn. He added that "all night long," their enemies were "shelling" the area.

"Civilian infrastructure facilities, libraries, shopping centers, many houses were destroyed in Chernihiv," Chaus said.

The shelling dampened hopes for a breakthrough in peace talks aimed at ending the grueling conflict going on for more than a month.

In response to Russia's pledge to reduce military attacks, as per Yahoo! News, United States President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken noted they have to see Russia's actions and warned that indications of a pullback might be a diversionary tactic and to "deceive people."

Russia Rules Out Nuclear Weapons in Its Attack on Ukraine

Amid the continued bombardment of Russian forces on Ukraine, Russian spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Russia is not considering using nuclear weapons in its invasion of Ukraine.

The Russian official underscored that the usage of such weapons would only be necessary when there is a "threat to existence." in an interview with PBS, Peskov said that nobody is considering using a nuclear weapon and points out that Russia's conflict with Ukraine does not involve any threat to the existence of Moscow, as Newsweek reported.

Peskov was asked to clarify remarks made by former President Dmitry Medvedev, who outlined situations in which Russia reserves the right to deploy nuclear weapons if it encounters an existential threat. According to Medvedev, Russia has roughly 6,000 nuclear warheads, and the country's nuclear policy does not require an enemy to use such weapons first.

Meanwhile, the United Nations reported that refugees leaving the country are now more than 4 million.
