President Joe Biden is certain that his son Hunter Biden didn't breach the law, according to Chief of Staff Ron Klain, as the federal investigation into the 52-year-old recovering drug addict's overseas business transactions heats up.

A federal grand jury has been hearing testimony in recent months about Hunter Biden's cash flow while serving on the board of Ukraine energy company Burisma, according to reports. The senior White House official appeared on ABC's This Week two days after it was reported.

Klain fiercely disputed during his television appearance that the White House had contacted the Justice Department about the investigation, which is being handled in the president's home state of Delaware. Klain was also questioned about a recent Washington Post revelation revealing that a Chinese energy business paid roughly $5 million to organizations owned by Hunter and his uncle James Biden over 14 months.

CEFC China Energy, a business with close links to Beijing's communist leadership, reportedly began making payments in 2017. The Post highlighted freshly released government papers, bank statements, and emails recovered from a hard drive allegedly belonging to Hunter in its piece, which had previously been dismissed as Russian misinformation by major media outlets.

The contents of the laptop reportedly belonging to Hunter were initially revealed in October 2020 by the New York Post and were later verified by DailyMail.com early the following year. It includes a large number of emails detailing Hunter's business transactions in Ukraine and China, many of which occurred while his father was vice president, as well as filthy photographs of sex acts, prostitution, and drug usage.

The New York Post was suspended from Twitter during the 2020 presidential election after they were the first to report on Hunter's emails. The Washington Post, among other prominent news sites, either downplayed the story or accused it of being Russian misinformation.

The editorial board of the Washington Post, on the other hand, claimed that there was more to the media's reluctance to cover the subject, and the magazine recognized that there was.

Although the Post offered no answers or retaliation for the Hunter Biden laptop claims, it did acknowledge burying an otherwise factual and timely item ahead of the 2020 election, according to Fox News.

Joe Biden Previously Denies Hunter's Profit With Chinese Companies

At the time, the Biden-Harris transition team stated that the president-elect was extremely proud of his son, who had overcome several hurdles, including savage personal assaults in recent months, to emerge stronger. Hunter Biden stated in early December 2020 that he was confident in the legal and ethical handling of his affairs.

During the October 2020 debate, Biden claimed that "[his] son has not made money" in China. Last week, Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson elaborated on the findings of a September 2020 report they released that detailed extensive financial connections between Hunter Biden and China, Ukraine, and other countries - a report dismissed by Democrats as part of a Russian disinformation campaign.

The Hunter Biden laptop story was rejected by Joe Biden's 2020 campaign, as well as many in the media, as a Russian disinformation effort. Biden is extremely proud of the attorney general's work in this administration and has no participation in investigating objectives or conclusions, according to White House spokesman Andrew Bates.

Joe Biden asked the Justice Department in October to punish anybody who refused to comply with Capitol riot investigators' subpoenas. At the time, the Justice Department took steps to separate itself from the president, as per Washington Examiner.
