Another year, another round of bright, attention-getting ensembles at the Grammy Awards 2022. The Grammys, probably more than any other awards ceremony, attracts some of the most iconic costumes worn by some of the greatest personalities.
From the red carpet to the stage, it appeared that musicians did not hold back when it comes to fashion-forward attire.
Some of Grammy's Head-Turner Celebrities in Red Carpet
Silk Sonic, a supergroup consisting of Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak, opened the night with a performance of their song '777' in Motown-inspired attire. For their popular first single 'Leave the Door Open,' the trio won four Grammy Awards, including 'Record of the Year.'
Next up came breakout singer Olivia Rodrigo, who performed her smash song 'Drivers License,' complete with a recreation of the single's music video. She was dressed in a Givenchy white asymmetrical ballerina dress and Wolford fishnet stockings.
Rodrigo completed the appearance with black combat boots, staying true to her punk rock princess persona. For her first album 'Sour,' the 19-year-old sensation won Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Pop Solo Performance.
BTS performed and danced to their song 'Butter,' which was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, in a performance that had the internet swooning (with a glimpse of member V flirting with Rodrigo), according to WWD.
The Grammy Awards are known for their flirtatious, playful dress. Music's biggest night tends to be less serious than its TV and film equivalents, with celebrities expressing their distinctive flair on the red carpet with tongue-in-cheek attire. The Grammys 2022 red carpet was no exception in terms of virality and aspirations to get viral.
The celebrities that descended on the Nevada desert city enjoyed the flash and splendor that is synonymous with Las Vegas. St. Vincent went full showgirl in a sheer, bell-sleeved feathered Gucci gown, while Lady Gaga embraced old Hollywood grandeur in a one-shouldered black and white Armani Privé gown with a long train and Tiffany & Co. diamonds, no less.
Menswear grabbed center stage elsewhere, courtesy to Lil Nas X, who wore a pearl-encrusted embellished baroque Balmain suit, and Leon Bridges, who wore a star-spangled white flared suit inspired by Elvis, as per Yahoo.
Dua Lipa went all out for the big night, wearing one of Versace's classic bondage gowns on the red carpet before teaming up with her Sweetest Pie collaborator.
Jon Batiste, the night's top winner (five prizes in total, including Album of the Year), had nearly as many ensembles prepared for the evening. He performed in a dramatic cloak wrapped over a pale blue metallic suit by Dolce & Gabbana after arriving on the red carpet in a harlequin-patterned sequined outfit from the Italian designer. After the night, the multi-talented artist wore an Alexander McQueen cloak overflowing with chandelier-style crystals to celebrate.
Carrie Underwood wore a gold Dolce & Gabbana gown with a stunning long skirt on the red carpet. The country singer changed into a short, glitzy LBD from the designer. She then flaunted her famed legs in a purple Affair gown with a billowing cloak to sing her song 'Ghost Story' during the event.
Saweetie switched from her bright pink Valentino Haute Couture two-piece to a glam Oscar de la Renta gown with a huge bubble skirt halfway down the red carpet. She wore a nude embroidered number by Etro with provocative side cutouts for the event, according to Page Six.

Grammy Awards 2022 Viewers Mock Justin Bieber's Outfit
Meanwhile, many mocked Justin Bieber's huge costume as he walked the red carpet for the Grammy Awards night. Fans were not keen to copy the 28-year-old singer's custom creation by designer label Balenciaga, with the look reserved for 'La La land' award ceremonies.
Even if followers were willing to overlook the oversized gray suit jacket, the strange platform steel-toed boots and colorful beanie cap were simply too much for viewers, who took to social media to mock his eccentric costume.
Others joked that Justin's tailor had confused up his dimensions with Shaquille O'Neal, the 7ft 1 basketball great. Thankfully, Justin's wife did not follow in Justin's footsteps, opting for a silky strapless gown from Saint Laurent, accessorized with a bevy of Elsa Peretti's tiny gold chain necklaces.
On the red carpet, the couple continued to show off their PDA with a long kiss. But it wasn't to be Justin's night, as the Canadian singer walked home empty-handed after being nominated for seven Grammy Awards, including the prestigious Album of the Year award.
He did, however, go to the stage with Giveon and Daniel Caesar, who is featured in the song, to perform the single Peaches, Mirror reported.
