NBA Trade Rumors: Beno Udrih, Andre Miller Eyed By Wizards, Nuggets’ Kenneth Faried Available

The Washington Wizards reportedly want to trade for either New York Knicks guard Beno Udrih or Denver Nuggets guard Andre Miller before the deadline. Denver, meanwhile, is said to be willing to trade forward Kenneth Faried - for the right price.

Primed for a playoff run, the Wizards are reportedly seeking to add depth to their backcourt. Marc Stein of ESPN reports Washington is eying Udrih and Miller as a backup to All-Star guard John Wall.

"One (reasonably) definite move you'll see before trade deadline: Wiz trading for a new backup PG. Beno Udrih said to be high on Wiz list," Stein tweeted on Tuesday. "As [Grantland's Zach Lowe] noted in his trade opus, Wiz rightfully covet Andre Miller, too, but unable (so far) to find trade match w/ Denver."

Washington hasn't found consistency from their backup guards - Eric Maynor, Glen Rice and Garrett Temple - off the bench, and both Udrih and Miller are reportedly unhappy with their current teams.

Miller was indefinitely excused from all team activities after a heated argument with Nuggets coach Brian Shaw over playing time. The veteran's absence from the court, however, is said to be hurting his trade value ahead of the deadline.

"Miller has not played since December 30, and the combination of his prolonged absence from action, his confrontation with Shaw and the Nuggets' pressing needs as they chase the final spot in the Western Conference have driven down his value on the trade market," Sean Deveney of Sporting News wrote on Feb. 4. "Some teams that might have been interested have already acquired new backup guards."

Injuries to JaVale McGee, Danilo Gallinari and Nate Robinson have hurt Denver's push for a playoff spot. In light of the Nuggets' 24-26 record, the team appears willing to part with Faried for the right offer.

"I've been hearing since the fall that Kenneth Faried is available at the right price, and sources across the league maintain that remains true as we approach the deadline," Lowe wrote on Tuesday.

The NBA trade deadline is on Feb. 20 at 3:00 p.m. ET.
