Bill Gates' opinions regarding marriage have remained unchanged since his divorce from Melinda Gates.

Bill Gates, 66, reminisced on his marriage and divorce from the millionaire philanthropist in an interview with The Sunday Times published on May 1. Bill also stated that he would marry Melinda Gates again if the opportunity arose, though he has no intentions to do so anytime soon.

Microsoft Co-Founder Does Not Regret Saying "I Do" With Melinda Gates

After 27 years of marriage, Melinda Gates, 57, and Bill Gates divorced in August 2021. Though both parties have kept the circumstances of their divorce under wraps, Melinda disclosed earlier this year that adultery and Bill's contacts with late billionaire and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein played a role in their split.

Melinda Gates stated in an interview that she and her ex-husband fought through some of his adultery charges, but that there came the point where there was enough there that I understood it wasn't healthy, and I couldn't trust what we had, according to E News.

The 66-year-old Microsoft co-founder claimed he has no regrets about marrying Melinda Gates, 57, in January 1994. Despite his newfound single status, Bill Gates stated that he had no intention of walking down the aisle again.

The former couple, who married in Hawaii after seven years of dating, divorced in May 2021. Jennifer, 26, and Phoebe, 19, are their daughters, while Rory, 22, is their son. For her part, Melinda previously characterized the realization that she needed to divorce her now-ex-husband as the lowest point of her life, as per Page Six.

Bill Gates Regrets Meeting With Jeffrey Epstein for Fundraising Dinners

The co-chairs of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have maintained good relations while they continue their charity activities. Bill Gates also expressed sorrow for engaging with Jeffrey Epstein, a dead sex offender who is said to have had a role in the breakdown of his marriage to Melinda French Gates.

In the early 2010s, Bill Gates admits to having many dinners with Epstein. Although Epstein already had a 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitutes from children when the meals took place, the Microsoft co-founder said he attended the gatherings to seek money for the Gates Foundation.

During a lengthy interview with The New York Times, Bill Gates recognized that the encounters were a mistake. He also discussed the status of his life after his 27-year marriage ended. Bill Gates also traveled with Epstein on the Lolita Express from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey to Palm Beach on March 1, 2013, one of the few flights that year when pilot Larry Viskoski recorded the name of a passenger, according to flight records.

During the interview, Gates refused to say if he had been unfaithful to his wife before their divorce. Reports that Bill Gates had improper connections with Microsoft staff have spurred an investigation at the company. Bill Gates also stated that he still considers his ex-wife a "friend," despite her refusal to use the same term to describe their present relationship in a previous interview, New York Post reported.

In August, the couple divorced quietly in Washington, DC, where their Gates Foundation is situated. The specifics of the agreement were never made public, although, at the time, Bill was worth roughly $152 billion, giving Melinda a 50% settlement of $76 billion.

This does not include the couple's extensive real estate holdings, including mansions in New York, Washington, and California. Melinda revealed in March that she and Bill aren't friends, but that they are 'nice' and working together, and that he had many affairs during their marriage.

Gates' spokesperson stated that he had sexual contact with a female employee in 2000 and that he quit while an external legal firm investigated the relationship on behalf of the business board. Bill Gates is said to have asked out a Microsoft employee in 2006 after hearing her give a presentation, and then another employee with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation a few years later, both while he was married.
