The Golden State Warriors went on fire as they beat the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 3 of the Western Conference semi-finals round with a 142-112 blowout win.

Led by their offensive guns Stephen Curry (30 points), Jordan Poole (27 points), and Klay Thompson (21 points), the Warriors won the game to get a 2-1 advantage in the best of seven playoff series against the Grizzlies.

Ja Morant led all scorers with 34 points and 7 assists for the Grizzlies, per NBA website report.
It was an incredible performance on the offensive end for the Warriors as they made 53 of 84 shots in the game, tying for the 12th best shooting percentage in NBA history.

Warriors' Historic Scoring Night

In addition, the Warriors' 142 points were second-most in a playoff game, trailing only the 143 they scored in Game 2 of the 1967 Western Division Finals against the St. Louis Hawks.

Stephen Curry also eclipsed Paul Pierce (3,180) and Kevin McHale (3,182) for 21st place on the NBA's All-Time Playoffs scoring list with tonight's win.

Warriors forward Draymond Green, who had five points and a game-high eight assists, said that they were efficient in their scoring.

"Tonight, we found great shots. We didn't just settle for good shots, we found great shots and they went in," Green noted.

The Warriors made 17 of their 32 three-point attempts, though clearly, it was not a bombardment from the rainbow line relative to their style.

Golden State attacked the paint with the threat of the three and their usual relentless movement, outscoring Memphis.

Unstoppable Splash Trio

Thompson and Curry's (a.k.a The Splash Brothers) shooting performance is significantly more unpredictable these days unlike back then. But, fortunately, Poole provides them with that stretch.

It is expected that not all games all three stars will ignite on the offense, but it only takes one of them to keep the Warriors going in the game. But if their Splash Trio gets hot, they become unstoppable, just like what happened on Saturday.

Klay Thompson, who had made only 29% of his shots in the first two games of the series, finally hit his groove. He got 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including 3-for-5 from beyond the arc. Jordan Poole nailed 11 of his 17 shots for 27 points, leading the team.

Stephen Curry scored 30 points to lead the Warriors. He only hit two of his eight 3-point attempts, but he was as efficient as he has been all playoffs at going downhill and to the rim.

The Warriors have the second-highest true shooting percentage in playoff history, but Curry only shoots 25% from deep, according to CBS Sports.

Morant appeared to be hurting his knee near the end of the game, and everyone on the Grizzlies side is hoping that he will be in shape for Game 4 to lead his team. Morant has been a consistent big-time contributor in the Memphis' scoring and the recent games, and the Warriors are having a hard time slowing him down.

Game 4 will take place on Monday, May 9 at Chase Center, as per Sports Illustrated's Fan Nation.
